Many companies see attendance at a trade fair as a must, but it shouldn’t be seen as an unwanted imposition. Instead, trade fairs should be seen as a fantastic opportunity to get closer to interested visitors and allow them to experience your products and services. At trade fairs, you get to meet a large portion of your customers at once and in one place. The same applies to your competitors, so you should definitely keep one eye on what they are doing, too!
The sales team and booth personnel should work hand-in-hand and should start organizing the exhibit well in advance. The sales team is particularly attuned to what customers want and can tailor the design of the exhibition booth and the products that appear there to reflect that. The booth team must be motivated, knowledgeable, and well trained in order to present the enterprise in the best possible light. Without this, the exhibit cannot be a success.
Another significant question is how the enterprise wishes to present itself. This question gives rise to considerations such as how the team should be dressed, and, indeed, the overall presentation. As much as possible, clothing should reflect the overall corporate design message. Non-traditional enterprises can make an effective impression with a more casual look, but even they should avoid appearing sloppy. Visitors to the booth often judge the quality of the products and services by the appearance of the booth personnel.
